I first met Lara when she was 13, when Brian and Terry got engaged. Lara matured into a warm, caring and compassionate woman, whose broad smile and infectious laugh lit up a room. Lara took over the Chev’s pre-marriage counselling programme, and I got to know her in another role, that of a social worker and manager: competent, sensible and always willing to help. Lara was an enormous support to Bev, and could not have done more for her Dad when he took so ill. Lara, we miss your smile, your warmth and your kindness.
