I met Lara for the first time in hospital on the Thursday night before she passed away. From that moment and my subsequent interactions the next day and over Shabbos and the Sunday she passed, I realized I was being gifted the privilege to meet a most remarkable woman. Despite her excruciating pain and discomfort, her focus was on only on her beloved children and husband. This she confided to me early on that Shabbos morning, and I was able bear witness as she was able to cuddle, hug, nurture and cling to each one and reassure them that in-spite and despite all that she was going through and that she would be transitioning to her spiritual realm, that eternal bond, that “invisible string” would remain forever. It is in these moments of unbelievable pain, agony and discomfort that she demonstrated her true strength and the beautiful and holy Neshoma that she is. At her her greatest time of need, it was Lara giving strength and emuna to others and her most beloved. May her Neshoma receive an Aliyah and may her beloved Ora, Kivi, Shishi, Hudi and Evan and her mother and sister and family and friends be comforted in the knowledge that she will be their advocate and custodian on high in shamayim and will always be with them. Holding you all in my heart, now and always, Richard
